Up to now, Vietnam has formed a number of key industries of the economy such as: Exploiting and processing oil and gas; electronics, telecommunications, information technology; metallurgy, iron and steel; cement and building materials; textiles, leather and footwear; mechanical engineering, automobiles, motorcycles…, creating an important foundation for long-term growth, as well as promoting the process of modernization and industrialization of the country.
In addition, the process of industrial restructuring associated with growth model innovation and labor productivity improvement has increasingly focused on the core of industrialization. Supporting industries are interested in promoting and strengthening linkages, especially in Vietnam’s key manufacturing industries such as textiles and garments, leather and footwear, electronics, agricultural product processing industry, etc. to form a supporting industry ecosystem and increase the localization rate.
Product structure has had a positive shift when the proportion of high and medium-tech products in Vietnam has increased significantly, creating the basis for the formation of a number of large-scale and capable private industrial groups. compete in the international market.
